Verse of the day

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.

- James 1:5-6 (ESV)

Frankly, I don’t know how the parents of young children do it all, but it is great to be at church each week and see such constant love and care, devotion, protection and provision for those little ones. And it keeps on full strength 24/7 with no stopping.

Here’s some great news! There’s Someone who loves and cares about us constantly like that; the One we can finally put full trust in, the One who is powerful enough to do the job right and is always there.

In John 10:11 the Bible describes how far Jesus Christ has gone to break through to us. He describes Himself here as a shepherd, and you and me as sheep for whom He will do anything. Anything? Jesus says here, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.” I have seen such commitment that will make a person do whatever it takes to protect those they love. Jesus is the Saviour who will do whatever it takes, including a brutal death on a cross, because He cares about us so much.

So the Son of God left heaven, climbed down the ladder to this selfish planet, and died on a cross, separated from God, to tear open the wall between us and God. This makes what we do with Jesus really serious business. The only response that will bring this incredible love into your life is for you to say, “Jesus, I’m done driving my life. I’m turning to You with all my heart because You loved me enough to die for me.”

You may have heard about His love a thousand times. Maybe you’ve never responded to it until now. If you want to begin your personal relationship with Jesus Christ, then tell Him that right now, “Jesus, I am Yours.” This is so very important because God will never forget what you do with His Son.
